Trukhaniv Ostriv
Trukhaniv Ostriv is an island located on Dnypro River opposite the historic Podil neighbourhood and one of the favorite places of Kyiv citizens and guests to the city. It has an area of 4.5 square kilometres. The island is mostly covered by greenery. From the main Kyiv`s land you can get there by the Park Pedestrian Bridge. On Trukhaniv Ostriv you can find numerous cafes, restaurants, sport complexes and the largest city beach. The island is especially popular among fishers. Some parts of the island are used for biking and cross country skiing. It the nearest future the territory of the island is intended to be turned into a huge entertainment center with a subway station and a rope-way.
Park Slavy
Park Slavy differs a lot from the most of Kyiv`s parks. There`s no amusements or restaurants… The park consists of the nature attractions, monuments (including the huge Mother Motherland), the unique military museum and the eternal fire. The place on Pechersk can be called an oasis in the center of the big city and a wonderful place for family rest. The park is located on the intersection of Sichnevogo Povstaniya Street, Suvorova Street and Dmitrievsky Slope and dedicated to the memory of heroes, who gave their lives in fights for Kyiv and Ukrainian lands.
Kyiv Zoo
The Kyiv Zoo is one of the biggest zoos in the former Soviet Union and the only zoo in Kyiv. It was founded in 1908 by the Nature Lovers Society and financed by private donations. Situated on about 40 hectares, the zoo is cared for by 378 staff members and gets over 280,000 visitors annually. The diverse landscape allows proper comfort for the animals. There are over 2,000 fauna representatives from all over the world in the The Kyiv Zoo. 130 different kinds of trees and bushes decorate the zoo's islands. The Kyiv Zoo is not only a showcase of animals from around the world, but also a research center and an entertainment complex for children and grow-ups.

Hydropark
Hydropark (it literally means Waterpark) is a unique Kyiv`s green zone and an entertainment complex with mainly water activities. It is situated on the left bank of Dnypro River, on Venetsiansky and Dolobetsky islands. The Hydropark station of Kyiv`s Metro is located on Venetsiansky island. In Hydropark you can find several beaches (including one for children and one for nudes), boat and catamarans rental, ping-pong and tennis, paintball and football, water attractions, restaurants, casino and Sun-City Slavutych disco club, open-air gym and riverboat excursions. In Hydropark all the visitors, regardless of their age, have a good time.

The Botanical Garden of the Ukrainian Academy of Science, which is also called the Central Botanical Garden, is the biggest and the richest of them. The garden was founded in 1936. Its area equals 130 hectares and contains over 13,000 kinds of plants from all the continents. There`s also a number of hothouses, conservatories, greenhouses and rosaries in the garden. The Central Botanical Garden and adjoining ancient Vidubitsky monastery, constructed between 1070 and 1077, create a corner of Kyiv, which is perfect for family rest or spending some time alone with nature and surrounding beauty.
