The museum was founded in 1923 by the legendary "Berezyl" union. It is the only institution of that kind in Ukraine, an important scientific and cultural center. Creative meetings, scientific conferences, presentations, lectures on history of Ukrainian theater and cinema are traditionally arranged there. The collection of the museum is incredibly rich and diverse. A lot of outdoor activities and successful mobile exhibitions have been organized by its workers in Ukraine and far abroad. Ukrainian State Museum of Theatre, Music and Cinema museum is also well-known for its unique library.
