I'm getting set for another trip to Odessa after a two year pause. Are the prices for the Odessa area better than Kiev if you're in the city center? I had a tough time finding people who could speak any english with me, and often resorted to pointing at what I wanted to eat. The trip was still awesome!

Last time I was in Ukraine. I had some older Dollar bills and they refused to exchange them at several exchnage booths. It seems that they like new looking crisp bills.

Is this still the case? and if so, why is that?

I am having trouble finding nice looking bills for my trip
